重點句型I Sentence Pattern

(1) sb. (from)-.called to/for...

...的.......致電來......

這是在要轉達某人致電來時所使用的句型。要特別說明致電者的公司或是部門等資訊時，可在from的后面加入。要說明明致電者的目的時，后面可用不定式接續動作。而要說明致電者要找某人時，則用for接續要找的對象。

Mr. Bowen just call 10 confirm ho conference tomorrow。

鮑溫先生剛打電話來病認明天的會議。 

Stanley from the sales department called for you 5 minutes ago.

行銷部的史丹利5分鐘前打電話來要找你。

(2) sb. wants to know/find out...

.......想要知道.....

 這個句型是在轉達他人的需求。也可以用在轉達他人來電的內容。句型后面通?？芍苯蛹用~使用，或接續以疑問代詞who、where、 whether、which、when、what、whatever、how、why等引導的名詞從句。

.Vanessa wants to know the title of your article.

= Vanessa wants to find out the title of your article,

凡妮莎想要知道你文章的標題是什么。

Patricia wants to know when she has to arrive for the opening.

= Patricia wants to find out when she has to arrive for the opening.

派翠莎想要知道，她參加開幕式應該什么時候抵達。

Fiona wants to know who else will join the party.

= Fiona wants to find out who else will join the party.

費歐娜想知道還有誰會去藏家派對。

.Peter wants to know what he needs to prepare for signing up the English class.

=Peter wants to find out what he needs to prepare for signing up the English class.

皮得想知道要報名英文課需要準備些什么。

Carol wants to know if she can still apply for the position now.

=Carol wants to find out Whether she can still apply for the position now (or not).

卡蘿想知道她現在是否還可以申請該職位。

(3) sb. wants you to call/prepare..

....你致電/準備.......

這個句型是用來轉達他人要對方所執行的動作或準備事項。

Anna wants you to call Mr. Efferson to reschedule the meeting.

安娜要你打電話給艾佛森先生重新安排會議時間。

Mr. Willson wants you to prepare some small gifts to give out on Christmas.

威爾森先生要你準備一些在圣誕節發送的小禮物。

(4) sb. wants me to pass sth. to...

….要我把....轉交給…

使用這個句型說明他人要求自己轉交、傳遞某樣物件。

Mr. Sullivan wants me to pass the draft agreement to you.

蘇利文先生要我把合約草案轉交給你。

Cliff wants me to pass this document to you.

克利夫要我把這份文件給你。

(5) sb. sent me to...

...要我來

除了傳達訊息或轉達指示之外，偶爾也會有被派遭到其他地方執行工作的情形。這個時候便可以使用這個句型來向對方表示，自己是由誰所派來，以及要執行什么工作。

.Mr. Peterson sent me to pick up the broken machine.彼得森先生要我來拿壞掉的機器。

Mr Robinson sent me here to see if there's anything I can help.

羅賓森先生要我來這里看看有什么我可以幫忙的。
