who's和whose有什么區別？

        當談到同音異義詞，或發音相同但拼寫不同的詞匯，我們常常難以區分這樣的詞匯。什么時候用哪個詞總是一個問題。我們今天講了解who's和whose的區別。

who's and whose

who's和whose都用于人，區別在于使用的場合。

一、Who's

        Who's 是who和is的縮寫。

        每次使用這個詞的時候一定是在詢問或談論某人。Who's的使用方法與who is相同。如果替換這兩個詞后句意不變，那么你使用的就是正確的！

        一般而言，who's是用來提問的。但是請注意，在英語口語中使用縮寫是正確的，但在書面語中使用則不夠正式。

eg.

Who's the person in charge of organizing the food and drinks for this party?

誰負責宴會上的食物和飲料？

Who's knocking at the door?

誰在敲門？

Likewise, you can use it in statements.

同樣地，可以在以下陳述語中使用。

I have a friend who's interested in the open position at your company.

我有個朋友，他對你們公司的公開職位感興趣。

I can't believe who's walking around the neighborhood this late at night.

我不能相信這么晚還有人在附近走動。

二、Whose

        whose用來表示所有或占有。

        whose可以用來表示包括my, his, her, our, your等詞所表示的一些所屬關系。如果詢問某樣東西是否屬于某人，可使用whose?？捎孟鄳懈翊~代替用由whose組成的句子。

eg.

Whose books are these that have been left all over the floor?

落在地板上的書是誰的？
I do not know whose trash that is, but it has been there for the past week.

我不知道那是誰的垃圾，但是已經在這里一周了。

        此外，whose可以作為一個過渡詞加入形容詞短語來表示對一個人或一群人進行限制。whose和that的作用都是進行限制，當形容詞描述的主體是關于人的時候，將使用whose。

eg.

I just met a man whose daughter is studying for her college entrance exams, just like I am!

我剛剛遇到一個人，他的女兒正在為大學入學考試學習，和我一樣！

The student whose parents do not have enough time to care for him or her is likely to do poorly in school, even if the family is of high socioeconomic status and hires tutors for the child.

即使學生家庭具有很高的社會經濟地位，并為孩子聘請家教，但如果學生父母沒有足夠的時間照顧學生，學生仍可能在課堂上表現糟糕。
