Ready
Ready can function as an adjective, noun or verb.
Ready可以充當形容詞、名詞或動詞。
（一）形容詞
Ready is most often used as an adjective to describe someone or something that is fully prepared.
Ready經常被用作形容詞來形容某人或某事是完全準備好的。In my house, dinner is ready by 6:00 o'clock.
在我家里，六點鐘以前晚飯就準備好了。
I am ready to sleep.我準備睡覺了。
（二）動詞
Ready can also be used as a verb when we prepare ourselves for something for an activity or purpose.
當我們為某個活動或目的做準備時，ready也可以用作動詞。She readied herself for the party.
她準備好參加宴會了。We readied the room for the guests.
我們客人準備好了房間。
（三）名詞
In informal English, ready is used as a noun to refer to available cash. When you hear someone saying, "I'm short of the ready right now", it means they don't have money available for immediate use.
在非正式英語中，ready用作名詞指可用的現金。當聽到有人說，"I'm short of the ready right now"，那意味著他們沒有可以馬上使用的錢。（四）相關習語
1、Ready Money:你手頭上有可以立刻使用的錢財。
She is a high maintenance girl, so if you want to date her, make sure you have a lot of ready money.她是一個花銷很大的女孩，所以如果你想要和她約會，要確保你有很多現金。
2、Rough and ready:雖然馬馬虎虎，但勉強過得去，可以使用
Our house is a little rough and ready, but we can move in there if we have to.盡管我們的房子還有需要調整的地方，但是如果我們想的話就可以搬進去住了
3、good and ready:已經完全準備好了。
We will leave when I'm good and ready, and not a minute sooner.我準備好了咱們就走，還需要等一下。
4、Ready, willing, and able：某人非常愿意做某事。如果你的項目需要幫助，盡管告訴我。我樂意效勞。
5、Ready to drop：筋疲力盡、極度疲乏加班后我極度疲憊。
6、Ready to roll：急切的準備采取行動或準備離開某個地方。我準備好了，咱們去跳舞吧！
7、Ready for the off：表述某人準備離開某個地方我已經拿到機票了，還訂了旅館。我準備好出發了。
8、Be more than ready to do something：完全準備好去做某事。如果你雇傭我，我已經準備好開始工作了。
