         【故事背景介紹】
          楚國有一個賣兵器的人，到市場上去賣矛和盾。 好多人都來看，他就舉起他的盾，向大家夸口說：“我的盾，是世界上最最堅固的，無論怎樣鋒利尖銳的東西也不能刺穿它!”

        接著，這個賣兵器的人又拿起一支矛，大言不慚地夸起來：“我的矛，是世界上最尖利的，無論怎樣牢固堅實的東西也擋不住它一戳，只要一碰上，嘿嘿，馬上就會被它刺穿!” 他十分得意，便又大聲吆喝起來：“快來看呀，快來買呀，世界上最最堅固的盾和最最鋒利的矛!”

       這時，一個看客上前拿起一支矛，又拿起一面盾牌問道：“如果用這矛去戳這盾，會怎樣呢?” “這——” 圍觀的人先都一楞，突然爆發出一陣大笑，便都散了。
        那個賣兵器的人，灰溜溜地扛著矛和盾走了。
