生活中總有許多意料之外的事情讓我們驚訝，比如考試不小心拿了第一，比如出門碰到了喜歡的人，比如鹿晗和關曉彤公布戀情讓微博癱瘓……
今天，我們來學習幾個和“驚訝”有關的成語。
1、不可思議
解釋：原有神秘奧妙的意思。現多指無法想象，難以理解。
出處：《維摩詰所說經·不思議品》：“諸佛菩薩有解脫名不可思議?！?/span>
翻譯：
不可思議常用作定語、補語等等，可以把它翻譯成形容詞，常用的有：
1. incredible
這是一個老外在口語中常用的詞，用于驚嘆、驚呼。
It seemed incredible that people would still want to play footballduring a war.
在戰時人們仍然想踢足球，這似乎不可思議。
2. amazing
I find the job more amazing than I have imagined.
我發現這份工作比想象中更不可思議。
3.marvelous
“Isn't this marvelous?” shecooed.
“這是不是太不可思議了？”她低聲說。
2、大吃一驚
解釋：形容對發生的事感到十分意外。
出處：明·馮夢龍《警世通言》第28卷：“則一張那員外大吃一驚，回身便走，來到后邊，望后倒了。”
翻譯：
1. 表示“驚”的形容詞詞組有：
be startled at/ be astonished at/ be astounded at
startle、astonish、astound三者都是動詞，表示“使……震驚”。
He was startled at the door bell.
門鈴聲使他大吃一驚。
I was really astonished at his arrival.
他的到來著實令我大吃一驚。
The students were astounded at the professor’s comments.
教授的評語讓學生們大吃一驚。
2.give sb. a shock/sb. get a shock
He gave me a shock.
他使我大吃一驚。
He got a shock when he met her in the pub.
在酒館里碰到她讓他大吃一驚。
3. come as a (adj.) surprise
His answer came as a complete surprise to the audience.
他的回答讓聽眾大吃一驚。
3、觸目驚心
解釋：看見某種嚴重情況，心里感到震驚。
出處：唐·韓愈《昌黎集·貞曜先生墓志銘》：“及其為詩，劌目怵心。”
翻譯：
1. 直譯
see the scene which is dreadful to one’s mind
dreadful：可怕的; 糟糕的; 令人畏懼的
They told me the dreadful news.
他們告訴了我那個糟糕的消息。

*dreadful詞根為dread，有三種詞性：動詞，名詞，形容詞。最常見的為動詞形式，跟不定式、動名詞、that從句：
她害怕去上學。
She dreads going to school.
那個小姑娘害怕獨自走夜路。
The little girl dreads to go on a dark street by herself.
我一直擔心我們辦不成這件事。
I have been dreading that we could not make it.
2. 形容詞 horrifying
Her heart was heavy because of the horrifying television show.
她因為觸目驚心的電視節目而心情沉重。
4、不同凡響
解釋：凡響：平凡的音樂。形容事物不平凡，很出色。
出處：魯迅《墳·摩羅詩力說》：“自學之聲發，每響必中于人心，清晰昭明，不同凡響。”
翻譯：
形容詞最普通的說法是unusual：
The father’s unusual behavior touched everyone.
這位父親不同凡響的舉動感動了所有人。
高大上一點是extraordinary：
ordinary這個詞大家比較熟悉，表示普通的，比如，普通人在英文里就是ordinary people。
extra是一個前綴，表示“超過，以外”。超過普通就是不普通，所以可以用來翻譯不同凡響。
Her creativity is extraordinary.
她的創造力非同凡響。
詞組 out of the ordinary
The加上形容詞可以表示一類人，比如：
The poor/ poverished 窮人
The rich 富人
The old 老人
……
The ordinary則可以表示普通人，out of the ordinary在普通人之外的就是不普通的人。
He is out of the ordinary.
他是一個不同凡響的人。
