表達電影主要有2個英文單詞：Film和Movie。

課本上這樣講的：Film是英式英語，在美國通常指膠片，Movie則是美式英語

在實際生活中，并沒有區分太清楚，英國人用Movie的也大有人在，Film在美國也經常被指電影。

這2個單詞的主要區別在于：凡是嚴肅一些的關于電影的表達用Film，比如： 電影產業：Film industry 電影史：Film history 戛納電影節： Cannes International Film Festival，而Movie則偏重于指電影本身，一般會用在和朋友聊天的時候。

說到看電影，很多人See和Watch傻傻分不清楚，其實它們之間的區別很簡單：

See: 去電影院看電影（Go to the theater)

Watch: 在家里看電影（At home)

例句：

My sister and I watch a movie together every Sunday.

我妹妹和我每周日都在家看一場電影。

My sister and I see a movie together every Sunday.

我妹妹和我每周日都去電影院看一場電影。
